Designed in the 20's, this original vintage wedding dress is done in a slipper silk satin over a silk lining with floral tape lace insertions and trimmed in clear beading. The sleeveless bodice offers a scooped neckline and deeply scooped back. The neckline and armholes are all trimmed in clear beading. Two vertical floral lace insertions are seen at the front of this chemise dress. The floral lace insertions continue horizontally toward the back. The hips of the skirt are gathered at the base of the horizontal lace insertions. This dress falls below the knee and encloses with 6 metal snaps on the side. Gussets have been previously added to this dress, which have some staining. The gussets can be removed/replaced. There is a bit of staining in the right underarm of the dress, which may be remedied by a professional dry cleaner. Some of the beads may be loose or missing. There is a small hole in the silk satin of the bodice. The dress does have a bit of smudging throughout, which may be remedied. Some of the tape lace may have some breaks or need a bit of reinforcement, as does the hemline. With a little TLC, this dress would be fabulous.
Designed in the 20's, this stunning vintage wedding dress is done in a champagne toned silk "slipper" satin over a semi attached silk chemise lining. The bodice offers a slight capped sleeve, scooped neckline and high straight back. The back of the dress offers a bloused effect with stitching at the drop waist and added weights to complete the illusion. The right hip is adorned with an attached broach done in pearls with 5 strands of pearls, which cascade from the broach to just around the back, where it begins to blouse. The front of the skirt has an asymmetrical stitch running from the left hip to the right mid thigh. The entire dress was hand done and is a remarkable piece of fashion history. There are a few water stains in the back of the bodice. We recommend that the back be altered with a lace panel insertion. There are a few smudges throughout and the lining needs to be reinforced. We recommend a professional dry cleaning.
Designed in the 20's, this fantastic vintage wedding dress is done in a champagne toned slipper silk satin. The bodice offers a v-cut neckline, high back and dolman style sleeves. A self sash is looped through the neckline and finishes at the shoulder, where it can be used to tie the sleeve. Tea stained floral lace appliques can be seen on the front of the bodice. The asymmetrical skirt falls from the banded drop waist, which is adorned in a swirl pattern of rhinestones. There are three rows of elastic in the back of the dress, which sit just above the banded drop waist. The elasticized back allows for an interesting gathered look to the back of the bodice. There are a few scratches on the fabric and a few rhinestones may be loose or missing. A bit of smudging may be remedied by a professional cleaner.
Designed in the 20's, this incredible vintage wedding dress is done in a creamy silk chiffon with lace insertions. The bodice of this Gatsby style dress offers a high neckline, done in a straight lace insertion, semi capped sleeves and is completely sheer. We paired it with a slip (not included) to offer modesty. The silk chiffon skirt features an additional tiered panel of silk chiffon with lace insertions, which wraps the front and finishes around the hips, offering an apron effect and encloses in the back with metal snaps. This dress encloses on the side with metal snaps. We recommend a professional dry cleaning to remedy a few smudges. There are a few pinholes in the silk chiffon. However, considering the age of the dress, it is in remarkable condition.
Designed in the 20's, this fabulous vintage wedding dress is done in a incredible golden silk velvet and features all the styling indicative of the era. The sleeveless bodice features a v-neckline and scooped back. The front is gathered and ruched, as a decorative detail. This same decorative detail is seen at the sides and again in the back at the vertical panel. The gathered skirt falls from the drop waist and features two free flowing tiers done with a flouncy hemline. There is some areas of patina in the silk velvet, which can be expected considering the age of the piece. There is a tiny inclusion at the front, near the waistline. Otherwise, this dress is an absolute dream.
