Designed in the 20's, this original vintage wedding dress is done in a slipper silk satin over a silk lining with floral tape lace insertions and trimmed in clear beading. The sleeveless bodice offers a scooped neckline and deeply scooped back. The neckline and armholes are all trimmed in clear beading. Two vertical floral lace insertions are seen at the front of this chemise dress. The floral lace insertions continue horizontally toward the back. The hips of the skirt are gathered at the base of the horizontal lace insertions. This dress falls below the knee and encloses with 6 metal snaps on the side. Gussets have been previously added to this dress, which have some staining. The gussets can be removed/replaced. There is a bit of staining in the right underarm of the dress, which may be remedied by a professional dry cleaner. Some of the beads may be loose or missing. There is a small hole in the silk satin of the bodice. The dress does have a bit of smudging throughout, which may be remedied. Some of the tape lace may have some breaks or need a bit of reinforcement, as does the hemline. With a little TLC, this dress would be fabulous.
