The top layer of cotton is cut and the hip in front and then falls to the floor, with the bottom layer falling slightly longer in back as a slight train. The dress is handmade and has some wear on the inside at the seams. It fastens up the back with an 11" concealed metal zipper. The dress also includes a slightly worn, beautifully tea-stained silk-satin sash that ties in a bow. Perfect for a wedding, prom, or summer party. Designed in the 50's, this unbelievable vintage wedding gown is done in a lace appliqued and embroidered net over an acetate lining in the bodice and two layers of lace embroidered tulle over an acetate lining in the skirt. The bodice features an appliqued scalloped v-cut neckline done in sheer net, high back and capped sleeves. The entire bodice is embroidered in lace and encrusted in clear sequins. The acetate lining can be seen through the sheer net of the bodice and offers a scooped neckline, thin spaghetti straps and high straight back. The full, three layered skirt is done in a layer of lace embroidered tulle over an additional layer of tulle and is lined in acetate. Two panels of embroidered lace are seen at the front and back of the skirt, which falls from the Basque style waist. The skirt offers a generous self train and a concealed metal zipper encloses the gown in the back. We recommend a professional dry cleaning. There are a few inclusions in the second layer of tulle, which is not noticeable when worn and can be remedied. There are a few pinholes in the lace, which is easily remedied.
