This unbelievable vintage wedding dress is a real vintage treasure. Hand crafted from a fine champagne colored silk, which features a steel bead, rhinestone and pearl encrusted embroidered anthemion motif, this 1920's dress is as unique in it's look as it is magnificent in it's designed. The sleeveless bodice features a deep scooped neckline and keyhole cut back. The entire bodice is embroidered with a Greek inspired motif called anthemion. The skirt falls from the natural lose waist and is done in a very early peplum style with two side panels, of the same embroidered silk detail found in the bodice, flanking a layer of silk that has a tiered ruffled lace detail. Attached to the waist and also to the silk ruffled lace under layer, there are built in hoops, which allow for exaggeration of the shape of the hip. The dress fastens with snaps on the left side, which need to be replaced. There are also a few snags in the silk panels of the skirt. There is a bit of staining on the bottom portion of the armholes, which can be easily remedied by a professional dry cleaner.
Designed in the 20's, this incredible vintage cocktail dress is done in a black chiffon with a metallic trim of sequins and beading (bugle and cylinders). The sleeveless bodice is done in the typical style of the era, with a deep cross v-cut neck embellished with a band of metallic trim, which works it's way around to the semi scooped back. A double layer of a sheer black netting insert fills in the deep v-cut of the front, further enhancing the flapper style. The drop waist features 3 bands of the metallic trim and 1 band finishes the hemline of the gathered skirt. We paired this dress with a pale pink slip (not included) just to show versatility of wear. The dress does not include a slip, but one is recommended. The double layered net insert has a few minor inclusions, which is expected due to age. We recommend wearing a black slip underneath this dress to reduce the visibility of these inclusions. The netting can be replaced if so desired. Some of the beading and sequins are either coming loose or are missing, but can be replaced.
Designed in the 20's, this custom vintage wedding gown is done in a lovely sheer ivory lace knit of floral and geometric patterns. This gown would be wonderful for a bride! Because the gown is not lined, we have paired it with a peach toned silk slip to show how it can be worn. The bodice features a high jeweled neckline and tiny capped sleeves with lace trim. The gown is form fitting, but offers a great deal of stretch. The skirt, with it's lovely floral knit pattern, falls from the dropped waist, which features a lovely scalloped edge detail. The gown fastens at the top left shoulder with 4 clear snaps. This gown shows normal wear, as expected. However, there are no noted flaws.
Designed in the 20's, this stunning flapper vintage wedding dress is done in a sheer champagne toned embroidered cotton lace on net. This dress is sheer and should be paired with a slip, as shown. The bodice features a squared neckline, square back and lovely capped sleeves. Complimentary silk ribbon insertions are seen at the front and in the shoulder. The tails of the ribbon flow gracefully down the front of the dress for added interest. The entire dress features a beautiful floral lace embroidery, done in a panel design. The right side of the dress features a self scarf finished with three ruffles at the tail, which is over an 18" opening from the hip to the hemline. There are a few tiny inclusions in the net, which can be remedied by a professional seamstress. However, given the age of this spectacular piece, the dress is in wonderful condition.
