Designed in the 50's, this crisp white vintage wedding gown is done in a poly chiffon over an acetate lining and two layers of tulle. The bodice features a lovely high scooped neckline and deeper scooped back. A floral lace appliques; yoke, which scoops the front of the bodice just above the bust line and finishes in the back at the long, self fabric bow, gives this dress it's wonderful appeal. For an interesting and dramatic peak-a-boo effect, a tulle insertion is seen inside the bodice, and peaks out at the capped sleeves and at the scooped back. Darts and a Basque style waist finish the bodice. The full, gathered skirt falls from the natural waist and flows effortlessly to the floor, where a asymmetrical hemline offers a built-in train. 4 white floral lace appliques, as seen in the bodice, are at the front of the skirt. A concealed metal zipper encloses the gown in the back. The seam under the right arm needs some reinforcement. One of the petals of the lace appliques; at the yoke, needs some reinforcement. In the back of the bodice, a tiny bit of the chiffon is missing. However, the bow can be moved to cover this inclusion without taking away from the overall look and beauty of the dress. There are a few inclusions in the bottom of the skirt (both in the front and back), which can be easily repaired.
